Our Driveway Protection Guarantee
At Bin There Dump That Tampa Bay, we proudly include a driveway protection system with every dumpster delivery at no extra charge. It’s just one of the many ways we are here to help and provide outstanding service to our customers. Although it is preferred to place dumpsters on driveways or other paved areas, we understand that it’s not always an option. With that being said, it’s important to keep in mind that it is very likely there will be some type of evidence that a dumpster and/or a truck has been there. The trucks, alone, are about 12,000 pounds and an empty dumpster weighs about 2,000 pounds.
Take this into Consideration
Before you make a decision that can potentially cause damage to your lawn or property, you may want to think it through. Here are a few things to consider if the dumpster must be placed on an unpaved surface:
- Are there any underground pipes or does getting there require driving over septic tanks or lines, sprinklers systems, water lines, and/or sewer lines?
- Will access require driving off the edge of a driveway or other sensitive surfaces? Going off and on the edge of concrete or blacktop increases the probability of damage and breaking of the surface.
- Has it been raining within the past 3-4 days? If the ground is soft, there will inevitably be tire marks left. Also, please consider this when the dumpster is scheduled to be picked up.
Your Other Options
The weather in Florida, although typically beautiful, is quite unpredictable. So if it’s wetter than normal, or dryer than normal, it’s almost certain that there will be an impact to your lawn. It is important to note that the dumpster will damage grass and vegetation if it sits on the lawn for an extended period of time which is also why we highly recommend avoiding a dumpster placed on any unpaved surface.
